Die Niederländer von Klangstof haben mit Attack Attack die erste Single von ihrem kommenden zweiten Studioalbum The Noise You Make Is Silent veröffentlicht.
Erstmals Aufmerksamkeit erhaschte die Synth Pop Band um Gründer und Frontmann Koen van de Wardt mit ihrem gefeierten Debüt Close Eyes To Exit aus dem Jahr 2016. Sie wurden so bekannt, dass Klangstof die erste niederländische Band war, die 2017 auf dem Coachella in Kalifornien spielen durften.
Auf The Noise You Make Is Silent bleiben sich Klangstof zwar im Stile treu, geben sich aber experimentierfreudig und versuchen sich auch in anderen Genren. Sie nutzen verschiedene Sounds, Effektpedale und Drum machines. All dies ist schon beim neuen Song Attack Attack hörbar.
Koen Van De Wardt sagt zum Song Attack Attack:
Attack Attack was one of last songs written for The Noise You Make Is Silent. I first wrote the line “I’m a rock, I’m a mountain / The heavy weight on your shoulders”. Kind of like a response to everything that was going on at that time. I felt like I was annoying everyone with whatever I was doing and couldn’t get out of that vibe for almost a year. So this is almost like an apology letter to the people that were around me at the time
