Vergangene Woche veröffentlichte Tom Odell bereits eine neue Single.
If You Wanna Love Somebody war der erste Vorbote auf sein drittes Studio Album, welches noch in diesem Jahr erscheinen wird. Nun gab das Talent aus Großbritannien weitere Details bekannt. Das neue Album wird Jubilee Road heißen und am 12. Oktober 2018 unter Columbia Records erscheinen.
Tom Odell sagt über sein neues Album Jubilee Road folgendes:
“I wrote this album in a house on a quiet terraced street in East London. The lyrics are inspired by the lives of the friends I made whilst living there. I recorded most the songs in the living room of the house and if I listen back closely, I can still hear the sound of the old man’s television shows coming through the walls from next door, the kids from the house opposite playing football in the street below and the sound of my girlfriend’s footsteps on the wooden floorboards above. I don’t live there anymore, my life has changed somewhat, but I will always remember the time fondly and I hope you enjoy listening to the album as much as I did making it”.
Tom Odell ist ein Multitalent und so hat er dieses Mal alle zehn Songs auf dem Album selbst produziert. Da ist es kein Wunder, dass er mit seinen 27 Jahren bereits auf zahlreiche Auszeichnungen zurückblicken kann. Ob mit dem Brits Critics’ Choice Award” oder dem Ivor Novello Award als „Songwriter of the Year“. Weltweit verkaufte Tom Odell mehr als 1,8 Millionen Alben und zehn Millionen Singles.
